Fluoride
If you go to the super market and buy water you may see that it reads “now with fluoride!” You may think that this is a good thing for you and you teeth, but you will find out that dentists and some other people disapprove with adding fluoride with water. Dentists will advise you to not give babies fluorinated water because it can cause brain damage. Not just babies that can get affected by fluoride consumption. To others fluoride can cause immune system alteration, musculoskeletal harm, genetic damage, thyroid dysfunction, and it can also cause cancer. After knowing these facts about adding fluoride to drinking water my opinion about this situation is to go against it. If people think that fluoride is good for you and does nothing else besides help your teeth they will start to think that is could be an easier than just brushing your teeth. I know about 4 years ago I thought that. And so when people keep on drinking the fluorinated water instead of the pure or tapped water they could get sick or worse. I know that you may think that fluoride is the only substance that dentists can use to clean your teeth but there are actually tons more than just fluoride, and healthy, safe ones too. Before fluoride was invented, dentists used baking soda in toothpaste. They also used detergents to remove fatty films, and water softeners to make the detergents work better, and sweeteners, but usually non-nutritive sweeteners, so that bacteria doesn’t get encouraged. Not only the fact that fluoride can damage you and can cause health problems, that can be permanent my biggest concerns with using fluoride are the side effects from drinking fluoride. And some of them are nausea, bloody vomit, faintness, stomach cramps, tremors, constipation, aching bones, stiffness, skin rash, weight loss, and brown or black discoloration of the teeth.
